Pamela Seaton is a dedicated and accomplished educator with over 24 years of experience serving students across Pre-K to 12th grade within the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) system. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education with a focus on Integrating Technology in the Classroom from Walden University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from the American College of Education, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Western Illinois University.
Throughout her career, Pamela has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments. She has served in diverse roles, including as a 3rd and 4th-grade classroom teacher, a special education resource teacher, and in self-contained classrooms supporting students with both high- and low-incidence disabilities. Additionally, she has contributed as a high school educator, ensuring a seamless transition for students into adulthood.
Currently, Pamela serves as a Citywide Hospital Teacher for CPS, providing essential educational services to students navigating medical challenges. Her expertise, adaptability, and passion for student success have made her an invaluable asset to the district and a trusted advocate for equitable education.

Jayla Young is a passionate 24-year-old community enthusiast and dedicated professional in mental health, community engagement and innovation. With a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology and Sociology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Jayla brings a strong academic foundation and a diverse experience spanning education, research, and mental health. Her adaptability and unwavering commitment to fostering community development have made her a vital contributor to various initiatives.
As a devoted community servant, Jayla takes pride in being a positive and progressive role model for youth and young adults. She specializes in transitional care, leveraging evidence-based interventions and trauma-informed practices to support individuals through critical life transitions and challenges.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Jayla finds joy and inspiration in exploring the great outdoors. An avid hiker, she enjoys immersing herself in nature, discovering its beauty, and embracing the sense of peace it offers.
